Migrating from RuneMetrics

Data from Adventurer's Log was previously accessible through the RuneMetrics API. This service is going offline on the 10th November 2026, so this guide explains how to migrate your existing API usage. The new endpoints should be significantly faster, and do not have the same aggressive rate limits.

Profile API

This was previously accessible at: https://apps.runescape.com/runemetrics/profile/profile?user=NAME&activities=20

Recent activities can now be retrieved through the Player Events API. These have been tweaked slightly; a type field now tells you the internal name of each event type, and the date field uses a standard ISO 8601 timestamp which is a little easier to parse and includes reliable timezone information.

Quest statistics (the questsstarted, questscomplete and questsnotstarted fields) are no longer listed directly, but you can easily compute them from the output of the Player Quests API.

Note

Adventurer's Log privacy options are not enforced by the new API; the relevant pages will be removed soon afterwards. Players who want to hide their activity from the API can still do this using the in-game Settings interface (see Player Events API).

Skill levels, experience and ranks can be retrieved directly from Hiscores; see the Index Lite API.

Quests API

This was previously accessible at: https://apps.runescape.com/runemetrics/quests?user=NAME

You can now use the Player Quests API instead. This provides the same information as before, but with some formatting changes:

  • Instead of an array of quest objects, you now get an object, where the key is the internal numeric ID of the quest
  • questPoints has been renamed to qp
  • userEligible has been renamed to eligible

Monthly XP API

This was previously accessible at: https://apps.runescape.com/runemetrics/xp-monthly?searchName=NAME&skillid=ID

There is currently no direct replacement for this.
